Volunteerism at its Finest! Blue Mt Shelter (11/2006)
This is an example of the great members AHTS has and volunteerism at its finest! VP of Trails Rick Guhse' sums up the following photos nicely: "This is what makes trail work especially meaningful.
The November Pinhoti Trail Crew ran out of time to do repairs to the Blue Mt. Shelter! As many of you know the benches at Blue Mt. Shelter were deteriorating. Marion Campbell of Saraland, who worked all 7 days on trail crew with his wife, Emily, went back and repaired the benches and added a new board on the back of the shelter! This is what happens when folks become invested in the trail! I'm so excited that Marion and Emily took the initiative to do this work! Thank you, Marion and Emily!"
Marion and Emily also hike to Salt Creek Falls and took some nice photos.
