Weekly  Loop Hike on Coldwater Mountain (Oxford, AL)
Every Sunday, join Phil Martin for a short 1 to 2 hour hike on Coldwater Mountain. The hike starts at 3pm and is moderate to strenuous but the scenery is beautiful and worth it! 05 Hiking Alabama Presentation (Daphne, AL)
Author and AHTS Board Member Joe Cuhaj will present a look at the latest edition of  his book, "Hiking Alabama", and take you on a trip to some of Alabama's beautiful trails. The presentation will be held at the Daphne Public Library at 10am as part of their Jubilee Mornings series. Contact the Daphne Library for more information at 251-621-2818

08 Turkey Creek Preserve Hike (Alabama Wildflower Society/Fresh Air Family)

14-16  6th Annual AHTS Conference (Bald Rock Lodge, Cheaha State Park)
It's time again for the annual AHTS Conference! Three big days of presentations, demonstrations, hikes, food, entertainment, and the historic celebration of the connection of Alabama's Pinhoti Trail to the Appalachian Trail! Get all of the details by visiting our special conference website.

17-25 Pinhoti Trail Work Week
It's time for the spring session of our semi-annual trail maintenance on the Pinhoti. We'll be there for a week. You can spend a day, or two, or more, whatever you like. We'll clear trail of fallen trees, paint blazes, and remove overgrown shrubbery. There may even be a backpack trip or two into the wilderness. 22 Walls of Jericho Hike (Alabama Outdoors)

Led by Charles Rose 205-366-1937 for Alabama Outdoors . Meet 7:00am, Sheffield Holiday Inn, or 10:00am at the trailhead. See 200 ft. high cliffs, Bloodroot, Hepatica, Twinleaf, Trillium, Bishop's Cap & Dutchman's Breeches. Strenuous: 5 hr., 6 mile hike, 1,000 ft. elevation change. Bring ample water & lunch.

29 Waterfall Tour of Talladega National Forest (Anniston Outdoor Association)
This will be a joint hiking/driving tour with JSU Field School to view several waterfalls in and around the Talladega National Forest. The various falls will be short and moderate in difficulty. Bring along a daypack with lunch, water, supplies, and camera. Wear hiking boots.
