The Alabama Trail is a proposed long path that will stretch along the western corridor of Alabama (whereas the ECT and GET will take the eastern route.) The trail will stretch from historic Fort Morgan on the Gulf Coast to the Natchez Trace Trail in northwest Alabama near Florence.
The Alabama Trail is a work in progress (see the Alabama Trail System map to see the status of trail building.) There is plenty of work to be done. Building such a trail takes years of careful planning, negotiations, and partnerships, but in the end will provide a fantastic and unique long path for everyone to enjoy.
We invite you to join us and help make this dream come true. If you would like to vounteer, whether it be planning routes, tracking down possible corridors and negotiating access rights, or doing actual trail building, we would love for you to join us!
